Acknowledgement The Hunter Region played a significant role in the establishment of "Australia", with the extraction of critical resources to service the colonial project. It's industry and military infrastructure also serviced major wars which resulted in further expansion of the British, and later the US, empires. We acknowledge the Awabakal and Worimi Peoples, whose lands were never ceded. On these stolen lands, the fight against militarisation is part of the struggle against the ongoing impacts of colonisation. This always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
